ION Precision Products Story and Timeline
The existence of ION rests squarely on the shoulders of one man who had the vision, courage, and work ethic to go out on his own at a young age and establish and grow a rectifier company in Brazil. Below are some historical milestones of the company.
1991 – The company General Inverter is started in Brazil. Josue Zazulla leaves his position as an induction heater engineer where he was exposed to a/c electric motor control technology after he realized that the technology could be used in the rectifier industry.
1993 – The first Pulse rectifier project is completed and installed. It was an 1800 Amp / 10V unit, the size of a refrigerator. It’s still working!
1995 – First microprocessor control panel implemented in a General Inverter Rectifier.
2008 – Plastic non-corrosive enclosures were implemented for the first time. Stainless steel was always cost-prohibitive in Brazil.
2011 – LCD full color integrated control panel implemented.
2012 – General Inverter surpasses one million in sales.
2013 – The one thousandth General Inverter unit is completed and installed.
2014 – Josue meets Dan Dunigan at a SURFIN show in Cleveland. Dan agrees to represent the brand in the US under the A Brite Company offerings.
2016 – Josue decides to begin moving production to the US. A Move that Dan supports and will later be instrumental in completing.
2018 – General Inverter displays its units in the A Brite booth at SUFIN under the US Brand name of Green Power Products. Dans’ new equipment division manager Mark Coleman meets Josue.
2019 – Green Power Products hits a quarter million of sales and installation of American-made units.
January 2022 – Green Power Products Undergoes a name change to ION Precision Products, finalizes its transition to an American-based company, and launches the rebranded website you are on right now.
